World Immunization Week – Every Child. Every Vaccine. Every Right.
🗓️ 28 April 2025
📍 Zambia
Did you know? Zambia has the third-highest number of cervical cancer cases in the world (WHO Africa, 2023). But here’s the good news: cervical cancer is preventable — and the HPV vaccine is one of the most powerful tools we have.
Who should get the HPV vaccine?
Girls aged 9 to 14 years can get the HPV vaccine for free at any health facility in Zambia. It's part of the national routine immunization programme.
This vaccine helps protect girls from HPV, the virus that causes cervical cancer later in life.
